The Role
As a CT Technologist, you will perform routine to complex CT procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols, under the direction of a radiologist, in a busy educational hospital setting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Associate’s Degree preferred.
Experience: None required
Licensure: Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.) required. ARRT (CT) certification required within one year of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: (computer keyboard). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to cold, dust, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The pay range for this role is $35.00 - $51.17 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.

The Role
As a CT Technologist, you will perform routine to complex CT procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols, under the direction of a radiologist, in a busy educational hospital setting.
Your work will include:
- Performing a wide variety of CT examinations in a fast-paced academic imaging department supporting trauma, inpatient, outpatient, and specialty services
- Operating advanced CT equipment and adhering to established protocols to consistently produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Preparing, positioning, and educating patients to ensure safety, comfort, and optimal imaging outcomes
- Establishing IV access and administering contrast media under physician direction
- Conducting quality assurance checks on equipment and procedure areas while ensuring all safety standards are met
- Collaborating closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, residents, and fellow technologists as part of an integrated care team
- Supporting UVA Health’s teaching mission by instructing students and residents and serving as a preceptor as needed
- Assisting with supply inventory management and participating in ongoing service and process improvement initiatives
